Sri Venkatesa Kuchipudi Academy

Sri Venkatesa Kuchipudi Academy was founded by Guru Kubherini Hanumanthappa to expand the art of Kuchipudi. The school is known for its awe-inspiring Kuchipudi ballets and vivid performances. Guru Kubherini strives to make the dance form enjoyable for kids and adults to make sure it branches out to future generations, whilst never compromising the quality and beauty of her repertoires. Guru Kubherini has been teaching dance since 2005.

Kuchipudi originated in the southern part of India. Its name is derived from the village of Kuchelapuram, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the 9 Indian classical dance styles, and it has 700 years of rich history. It is known for its grace, beauty, and rhythmic patterns. This art form enables dancers to express themes of life that are both spiritual and secular.
